I have always believed that the top priority when it comes to content creation, be it music, games or art, it's to do what you enjoy. I you like something then you should be free to enjoy it. The drawings that I'm the most proud of and that I enjoyed the most are the ones I did entirely for the fun of it.
Everyone is different, so people's likings can often not coincide. But I still don't understand the hate. Whenever I find something that I don't like, I just ignore it, that's it. People who go out of their way to insult someone just because they like something they don't are idiots.
I hope you can through this, but you have our support with whatever decision you end up taking. :)

I'm sorry for what has happened to you! I wouldn't let any name calls or the such to really influence me or my thoughts. We are different people of course, so what you think will be different from what I think. Plus your art is not terrible, I really adore your more realistic pieces but that's just because of my own taste. We are all at different stages and process things differently whether it be art or anything else. I'm not very good at talking about this kind of stuff, but I hope you eventually feel better!
